The claimed ailment of the former governor of Lagos and his late Tuesday night flight to London, United Kingdom, have been widely reported in the media. A petition to protest the results of Saturday's presidential election that produced the president-elect was submitted by Labour Party candidate Peter Obi hours prior to the latest development. It's not the first time the president-elect has allegedly been flown abroad for medical attention.
Bayo Onanuga, the APC PCC Director of Media and Publicity, rejected Tinubu's ailment on Wednesday, claiming his leader just went to recuperate overseas.
Onanuga further stated that he will take advantage of the vacation time to go Umrah (lesser Hajj) during the yearly Muslim fast. "Which Asiwaju is unwell," he said. Was he not noticed when he went to vote? Does he appear to be ill? The man had just returned from a holiday. He went to get some rest. I believe he wants to take advantage of the chance to fast Ramadan outside the nation and then travel to Umrah before returning to Nigeria.
"This man has been on the go since last year and needs as much rest as he can get." His office will publish a comment shortly." Festus Keyamo, the APC PCC's chief spokesman, agreed with Onanuga on the subject.
Keyamo stated that individuals propagating the rumor were those who were still stinging from losing the election. Festus Keyamo, the APC PCC's chief spokesman, agreed with Onanuga on the subject. "Please assist us in informing those spreading the rumor that the election has concluded. " They are now campaigning following the election. They should ignore Asiwaju. "After the election, he deserves some relaxation," he remarked.
When asked where countries Tinubu went during his holiday, Keyamo stated that he could not confirm this at the time of reporting. "I cannot confirm," he said. But all I can say is that Asiwaju is in good health."
